coated glass. - Highly versatile and well paintable sealant for sealing construction joints and applications in glazing, construction and façades.
- Suitable for repairing damaged MS Polymer® joints in façade, construction and glazing
Properties
- Excellent processing properties and versatile in use.
- Paintable with dispersion and synthetic paint and lacquer systems.
- Excellent adhesion without primer on virtually all substrates, even damp surfaces.
- Compatible with PVB films, laminated glass and insulating glass edge seals.
- Low odour, bubble-free and shrink-free curing.
- Permanently durable elastic.
- Free of isocyanates, solvents and silicones.
- Very low emission, EMICODE EC-1 PLUS certified.
- Durable UV-, weather-, water-, moisture- and ageing-resistant.
Application conditions
- Application temperature (ambient and substrate) between +5°C minimum and +40°C maximum.
- Apply to sound, compatible, clean, dry, grease-free and dust-free substrates.
- Apply in the correct joint dimensions to accommodate movement effectively.
- For the correct dimensions of glazing joints, in line with applicable glazing standards, use SEAL-IT® 565 PE-TAPE.
- For the correct joint depth and to prevent three-sided adhesion in movement joints, use SEAL-IT® 540 BACKER ROD FOAM.
- To achieve the correct width of movement joints, widen the joints using a suitable grinder and/or modify the construction where necessary.
- Remove all loose particles and contaminants from substrates using a suitable brush.
- Thoroughly degrease contaminated substrates using SEAL-IT® 510 CLEANER.
- SEAL-IT® 326 GLAZING offers excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates. However, highly porous substrates should be pre-treated with SEAL-IT® 520 PRIMER. Non-porous substrates with limited adhesion should be pre-treated with SEAL-IT® 525 CLEAN & BOND.
- Apply primer easily, quickly, evenly and without excess using the SEAL-IT® 590 PRIMER BOTTLE + BRUSH, under the correct temperature and substrate conditions (see TDS).
- Once the primer has dried, apply SEAL-IT® 326 GLAZING as soon as possible.
- Tool the sealant before skin formation using SEAL-IT® 550 FINISH and immediately smooth the joint with the SEAL-IT® 590 FINISHING SPATULA, JOINT FINISHING SET or FINISHING BLOCKS.
